This Privacy Policy describes how HIIT Addict ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and website.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address through Firebase Authentication. If you choose not to create a permanent account, we use anonymous authentication to provide basic app functionality. Anonymous accounts can be converted to permanent accounts when you sign up with an email and password.
Workout and Health Data
To provide our core functionality, we store:
- Your custom workout timers and interval configurations
- Workout session history and notes
- Heart rate data recorded during workouts (if you use a Bluetooth heart rate monitor)
- Your resting heart rate and maximum heart rate preferences (if provided)
- YouTube workout videos you save or customize
Automatically Collected Information
Our app uses Firebase services which may automatically collect certain technical information necessary for app functionality, including authentication tokens and database connection data.
How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and maintain your account
- To sync your workout data across your devices
- To save and retrieve your custom timers and workout preferences
- To display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob
- To process payments and subscriptions through RevenueCat

Third-Party Services
Firebase (Google)

Google AdMob
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the free version of our app. AdMob may collect and use data about your device and app usage to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. RevenueCat

Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Firebase Firestore, which uses industry-standard security measures. All data transmission between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored in our systems
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your workout data
- Update or correct your information
- Opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings

Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information and workout data from our active systems within 30 days. Some data may be retained in backups for a limited period for disaster recovery purposes.
Children's Privacy
HIIT Addict is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete the information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
